Get Hundreds of Copic Marker Colors for Cheap [VIDEO]

If you’ve already read my free guide on how to get hundreds of Copic colors without buying more markers, then you’re familiar with the basic process this video demonstrates. The video is not meant to be a substitute for the guide, so if you haven’t read it, please sign up and get the guide first.

I think it’s generally true that artists are visual learners, that’s why I’ve created this video. I hope it answers any lingering questions you may have regarding the basic technique and gives you the confidence to give it a try.

If you would like to receive personal feedback on any work you’ve created using the method I’ve demonstrated here, you can upload your image in the comment section below, or if you have any questions or comments, please feel free to leave a reply!

  1. Thanks for the video! It really helped (me) understand the whole process a lot more intimately. I hope to try this method soon!

  2. Awesome, Christopher! I have been reading the art marketing posts (great stuff!) I saw this post, downloaded the ‘jailbreaking’ guide, and went out and bought the basic setup, with a few additional markers for fun.
I’m looking forward to giving these a go – looks like fun! And looking at the artwork you create, the results can be spectacular!
    I’ll keep you posted. 🙂

    • Dude, that’s awesome!! I can’t wait to see what you do with them. Make some color swatches and post ’em up here 🙂 I’m so excited!

      • Okay, so here’s my first stab at this new medium. There are many aspects of working with this medium that are similar to other media I have used, and many which are particular to Copic markers . I got a little carried away on a one areas, but that’s what experiments are for!
Thanks for introducing me to Copic markers, Christopher! I know if I had the opportunity to do this when I was first starting out, this would have been my go-to medium. As it is, I like bringing my experience with other media into the mix.
        Can’t wait to do more!

      • Holy hell man, this is amazing! Did you mix these colors using the techniques in the guide?? I love that you mention the similarities between this and other mediums. As a classically trained oil painter, that was my experience as well, but since getting the hang of them they have become my go to media. If you did use mixed colors to make this painting, I’d love to have you do a guest post on the techniques that you used and your experience with the process. Let me know if this sounds interesting to you. By the way man, I don’t know if I adequately expressed how very impressed I am with this. It’s really, really good.

  3. Btw, what do you use to wash your hands afterward??? LoL

    • Lol, if you watch my videos carefully, you’ll see my hands are always stained. In art school I had an amazing anatomy teacher (Deane Keller), and when he came up to look at a student’s drawing, the first thing he said was “let me see your hands”. If you didn’t have charcoal stains on them, he knew you hadn’t been working hard enough. 🙂

  4. Hey Christopher-
Thanks for the compliments and the encouragement.
Yes, I did this illustration using the mixed colors method. And yes, I would be interested in sharing my experiences.
Send me an email, let’s talk about it.

    • Super glad to hear you’re open to the idea! I’ve been eyeing a spot in July for you 🙂 We’ve got some major things going on here at CopicMarkerTutorials.com that are occupying all of my time right now, so please give me a week or two to get this conversation going. I’ll send you an email towards the end of the month. Looking forward to it!

  5. Thanks for introducing me to Copic markers, Christopher! I know if I had the opportunity to do this when I was first starting out, this would have been my go-to medium
